1. Copper Skived Heat Sinks – High-Density Fins, Zero Compromise
Mass production of high-density skived copper fins demands more than fast CNC strokes. It demands process stability at micron-level consistency.
What we do: We deploy closed-loop force monitoring on every skiving pass, ensuring fin height, thickness, and pitch remain within ±0.05 mm across batches of 10,000+ units.
Quality control: microscopy checks every fin row for burrs, tilting. Rejects are flagged before they leave the skiving station – not after assembly.
2. The Precision Matched – Skived Fin cover + Copper Baseplate
The thermal interface between skived fins and the copper baseplate is not a “press-fit” – it’s a metallurgical marriage via vacuum brazing. Poor matching means voids, cold joints, and thermal derating.
Ensure that the dimensions of the copper base plate and the cutter cover plate are all within the tolerance range. The surface should not have any scratches, cuts, or depressions. Any single detail could lead to an increase in the failure rate of brazing.
