Purpose of flow resistance testing

Flow resistance is an important indicator for liquid cooling systems and liquid cooling plates. In order to ensure that the cooling system of the equipment operates close to the theoretical design conditions, it is necessary to ensure that the flow resistance of the liquid cooling system matches the flow resistance distribution value designed by the environmental control system in the design. The intersection point between the flow resistance characteristic curve of the channel and the characteristic curve of the pump is the working point of the pump, which can be used to determine the efficiency of the water pump and whether the channel or pump matches the liquid cooling system.

Flow resistance testing method

The flow resistance of the cooling plate channel is determined by measuring the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the liquid cooling plate when the coolant flows through it at the rated flow rate; Test the inlet and outlet pressure difference under different flow rates, and fit the pressure difference curve to obtain the flow resistance characteristic curve of the liquid cooling plate channel.
