Liquid cooling technology
Liquid cooling technology is a cooling technology that utilizes the flow of liquids to quickly take heat away. Liquid cooling applications deal with liquid cooling plates (also called water cooling plate) that are installed onto heat sources. It works together with heat exchangers and pumps to dissipate heat by the circulation of liquid. Under typical conditions, liquid cooling applications are used in an environment with higher thermal energy density that either forced convective cooling or phase change system are not able to meet the required cooling effect.
What kind of water cooling plate should you choose for your water cooling system?
Vanism Thermal supplies several types of water-cooling structures for selection:
For water-cooling products, we pay special attention to the innovation of product technology, including pre-buried copper tubes, aluminum extrusion stirring channels, brazing or stirring friction processes, etc., so that we can produce more reliable water-cooled plates by welding, greatly reducing water leakage and other faults of water-cooled plates, and improving the reliability of water-cooled plate heat dissipation; through further processing of the surface of the liquid-cooled plate, it can be in better contact with the heat source, thereby improving the heat dissipation efficiency.
The thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity of liquid are higher than those of air, so the heat exchange efficiency of liquid cooling system is higher, which can better meet the heat dissipation requirements under high current, high power or complex working conditions.
The coolant circulates in the internal flow channel, absorbs heat and releases it to the environment through the radiator. When designing the system, factors such as the selection of coolant, pipeline layout, pump selection and control system design need to be considered to ensure stable operation and efficient heat dissipation of the system.

Leakage Test 100%
The water pressure test is to detect whether the liquid cooling plate is leaking by immersing it in water and pressurizing it to observe whether bubbles emerge. During the test, pay attention to controlling the water pressure to avoid damage to the liquid cooling plate caused by excessive water pressure. At the same time, pay attention to releasing air from various interfaces of the liquid cooling plate to avoid misjudgment caused by increased pressure.
Precautions for liquid cooling plate leakage test
1. Before conducting a liquid cooling plate leakage test, ensure the safety of the test equipment and test environment to avoid accidents.
2. Different test methods and test pressures should be selected for different models of liquid cooling plates.
3. During the test, pay attention to the sealing of each interface of the liquid cooling plate, and pay attention to the protection of the oxidation anti-corrosion coating.
4. After the test, the test equipment and test environment should be cleaned in time to avoid contamination.
What else can Vansim Liquid Cooling do for you?
Pressure resistance test, destructive verification
Pressure resistance test:
Keep the pressure of the water cooling plate ≥0.6MPa, immerse in water, and observe whether there is bubbling on the surface of the water cooling plate. Leakage and mechanical damage are not allowed. A liquid cooling plate must undergo a burst test, that is, pressurization from 0.35MPa to 0.4MPa, from 0.4MPa to 0.45MPa, and from 0.45MPa to 0.5MPa
Destructive force test:
Continuously pressurize the water cooling plate until the product fails and is damaged. The water cooling plate is required to withstand a maximum pressure of ≥1MPa.
Thermal Simulation Design
Thermal simulation design
It refers to the technology of predicting and analyzing the temperature distribution, heat flow conduction, thermal stress and other parameters of an object in different thermal environments through computer simulation. This technology can help engineers predict the thermal problems that may occur during actual use during the design stage, so as to optimize in advance and improve the performance and reliability of the product.
Flow resistance test, water cooling plate joint welding strength test
Flow resistance test:
The water-cooling plate is connected to the flow tester, the coolant temperature (℃), flow (L/min), observe and record the inlet and outlet pressure values of the water-cooling plate, and obtain the inlet and outlet pressure loss of the water-cooling plate.
Water-cooling plate joint welding strength test:
The water-cooling plate is fixed on the test bench, a hole is drilled on the aluminum joint, and the pull-out force test hook is hooked on the joint hole for testing. The joint welding is required to resist the pull-out force test.
Other process types of liquid cooling plates
The buried copper tube water-cooled plate refers to a water-cooled plate that is made by CNC milling an aluminum base plate and embedding a copper tube in it. The bent copper tube is then riveted onto the aluminum base plate with a hydraulic press, and then processed into a water-cooled plate. The high thermal conductivity of the copper tube is used to take away the heat, and the heat is transferred from the heating element to the coolant, thereby achieving heat dissipation.
What is the copper tube liquid cooling plate?
Brazed water-cooled plate refers to a water-cooled plate that is assembled with a base plate and a cover plate and then heated in a vacuum chamber. Under corresponding process conditions, the brazing material is melted to connect the base plate and the cover plate into a whole and form a flow channel inside.

The deep drilling water cooling plate is a heat dissipation method that uses fluid cooling. It is a water cooling plate that uses deep hole drilling technology to drill multiple deep holes on the heat dissipation plate and welds them at both ends to form a flow channel circulation, allowing water to flow through the pipes to take away the heat.
